So, let me tell you about MacCallum's Boat House.
It all started some 25 years ago, I had an old wooden boat with a 35 hp engine. With 1956 parts being hard to get I would stop by and Don MacCallum would always come up with a part that "would get me by". As time went by my wooden boat went the way of most old wooden boats. On a Sunday I went to the boathouse and told Sandy about my wooden boat demise. Sandy said I think Don is down back, let me get him. At the time I had a young family with two children and a small budget to spend on a new boat. Again Don had the answer, it was a great used boat that I could afford. My wife and I picked up our boat on a Friday night on our way to the lake, much to our childrens delight. That was the start of a long time relationship.
As time went on Don and Sandy's son Peter came to work at the boathouse. As the business grew no one forgot that service is as important as the sale and is what will continue to drive sales forward. My two children now purchase and service boats at MacCallum's and are as happy as I have always been with the service provided.
Peter not only increased sales by adding a new line of Tige' ski boats, he has also started a complete water sports store right at the boathouse. In addition, he did not forget that service is what drives the business. He has added a state of the art service department with certified factory trained personnel for all boat lines they sell.
Sandy still fills in with sales of HarrisKayot floatboats, when not taking care of her favorite people (her grandchildren). If Don were alive today he would be proud of the way that Peter has carried on his tradition of personal service that started with his father some 50 years ago.
